Induction heating
Induction heating and soldering are very popular in industry. Induction heating units are much cheaper compared to lasers of the same power. Additionally metals have a considerable high reflectivity to laser light so that only a part of the laser power can be absorbed by the workpiece. For small parts extremely small induction coils can be produced. The temperature control during the inductive heating process is important for a good quality of the parts. Our fiber optic infrared pyrometer EP003 and two colour pyrometer QP003 have optical heads without electronics and thus they have a high immunity to the electromagnetic fields of the coils. The LASCON® system controls the temperature precisely and is able to supervise the induction process by writing a process script with a simple programming language. All processes are stored and can be visualized to the user.
